Pickup on location
Respond to the constantly changing needs of consumers and offer an alternative to traditional delivery methods with 'Pickup on location'. Allow customers to pick up their orders at one of your selected pickup locations at a time that suits them best, without having to wait for delivery.
To allow customers to pick up packages, you need to set up the following:
Pickup on location further consists of three steps:
- Create a package
- Place the package at the pickup location
- The customer comes to pick up the package at the location
Creating a package
Creating a package for 'Pickup on location' works the same way as shipping products to an address. Place the products in the desired packages and select the 'Pickup on location' shipping method (if not already selected). Then select the label you want to use on the package and finally click 'place' to create the package.
In summary:
- Click in the deliveries widget on: Place products. Or in the actions widget on: Ship.
- Distribute the products over the desired packages.
- Make sure the shipping method 'Pickup on location' is selected.
- Choose the label you want to use on the package.
- Click at the top right on: Place.
- Package is created and marked as 'Underway'.

Placing the package at the pickup location
Then bring the packages to the respective pickup location and scan the packages in using our WMS application. Once you have scanned the packages, the package is marked as 'Ready for pickup' and an email is sent to the customer with the required QR code and details that the package can be picked up.
In summary:
- Bring the package to the pickup location.
- Scan the package in.
- Package is marked as 'Ready for pickup'.
- Customer receives an email with the details and the required QR code.
- Package is ready to be picked up.

Customer comes to pick up the package
When the customer comes to pick up the package, he/she needs to show the QR code in the email. By scanning the QR code, you can verify that the customer is indeed picking up the correct package. After you also scan the QR code on the package, you can hand over the package and it is marked as 'Delivered'.
In summary:
- Customer comes to pick up the package.
- Scan the QR code in the email the customer received.
- Scan the QR code on the package.
- Hand over the package to the customer.
- Package is marked as 'Delivered'.
